When March 2020 came around, rapper Action Bronson (real name Ariyan Arslani) decided it was time for a change – right at the beginning of the pandemic. Since March 2020, Bronson has lost 140lbs (64kg) – an insane amount of weight. Entwined into his lifestyle change, the rapper has also incorporated the wonderful martial art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The artist has been sharing Instagram posts revealing that he’s been on the mats with the likes of Ryron Gracie, Orlando Sanchez, his rapper friend and blue belt, Evidence, and more.

On this Joe Rogan clip, Bronson speaks more in depth as to the things that factored into him losing the weight. The birth of his son was one of the main points to his reasoning for losing the weight, and really turning his life around, because he wanted to be alive for him. Now Bronson has lost the weight, he has picked up the hobby of BJJ and he seems just as obsessed with it as all of us fellow Jiujiteiros are too!

The ‘Easy Rider’ hit maker also shared a photo after a gym session with Orlando Sanchez. Bronson captioned, “If you wanna be a savage you must train amongst the savagery.”

Hans Molenkamp also created a small picture and video collage on Instagram of Action’s progress, praising him for his hard work and captioned it, @hansmolenkamp “PURE INSPIRATION 🙌 In one year my brotha @bambambaklava lost 140lbs ‼️ by sheer mental fortitude and never quitting. Making health, working out, and diet top priority. IF HE CAN, YOU CAN! #no excuses #actionbronson 🐬 “

The Obsession Starts… Now

Already addicted to the human chess game, Bronson has recently shared a post of him rolling with ADCC Champ Orlando Sanchez and captioned it, @bambambaclava “IM GONNA LEARN THIS BEAUTIFUL ART NO MATTER WHAT. IM ADDICTED AND COMMITTED. THANK YOU FOR THE HUMBLING WORK MY GUYS!!!”

Orlando Sanchez reposted Bronson’s post of the two of them rolling together and captioned it, “AMAZING WORK :: AMAZING DEDICATION :: MY FUCKING BIG BRO @bambambaklava STRAIGHT KILLING IT :: BIGOFTW :: 👊🏽 Repost @bambambaklava

Best of luck to Bronson with his future BJJ training and journey on a fit and healthy lifestyle, keep going. OSS!
