ADCC 2019 Results: Tonon Loses Out To JT Torres

Garry Tonon had the stiffest test out of all the DDS members today at ADCC 2019 as he came up against the returning champion, JT Torres. He came out after securing his place opposite Torres yesterday with a pair of exciting matches, including the fight of the day. Torres was still the favorite to progress going into this match after showing only small flashes of trouble in the first two rounds. Dante Leon and the fan-favorite, Vagner Rocha, met in the opposite bracket to determine who would meet the winner.

Both fights went the full fifteen minutes with JT Torres scoring points late in order to take a 2-0 victory over Tonon. He goes into the final alongside Rocha as the favorite to take home gold for the second time in a row, while Garry Tonon will now enter the third-place playoffs to try and secure his first ADCC medal against Dante Leon.
