View results and video highlights from ADCC 2024, which takes place on August 17-18 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The 2024 ADCC World Championships kick off on Saturday, August 17 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The event features five 16-man divisions and three eight-woman divisions, as well as men’s and women’s absolute brackets and two superfights, each featuring Gordon Ryan.

  • Ryan Aitken def. Pedro Marinho via submission (heel hook)

Aitken came out aggressive early before jumping into a leg entanglement at his earliest opportunity. Marinho looked for a heel hook of his own, but it was the 10th Planet representative who secured the tap and a major upset victory.

  • Chris Wojcik def. Josh Hinger via submission (heel hook)

Wojcik hit a picture-perfect entry to 50-50 from his back to score a highlight-reel inside heel hook in his ADCC debut against a multiple-time ADCC Worlds veteran.

The Brazilian found himself down on points in the bout’s closing minutes but was able to dig deep and pick up a kneebar over one of the division’s early favorites.

The New Wave representative looked sharp on his feet early, securing a takedown in the opening seconds. That led to a scramble during which Taza rolled into a beautiful kneebar to finish the former ADCC champion.

Pixley picked up the biggest upset of the event so far. After putting in solid work from the top position for the contest’s opening several minutes, he jumped onto a front headlock and sealed the deal with a highlight-reel d’arce that brought the crowd to its feet. After the match, Meregali clutched what appeared to be a dislocated shoulder.
