ADCC 2024 live results and highlights – Day 2
View results and video highlights from ADCC 2024, which takes place on August 17-18 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The 2024 ADCC World Championships kick off on Saturday, August 17 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and continues on August 18. The event features five 16-man divisions and three eight-woman divisions, as well as men’s and women’s absolute brackets and two superfights, each featuring Gordon Ryan.
Day 1 saw the men compete in round of 16 and quarterfinal matches, while the women competed in quarterfinal bouts. Day 2 will feature the semifinals and finals of each weight division, as well as absolute men’s and women’s divisions. Additionally, Gordon Ryan will defend his ADCC superfight title against reigning ADCC absolute champion Yuri Simoes.

Superfight
- Gordon Ryan def. Yuri Simoes via points (21-0)
Ryan racked up an incredible 21 points soon after the submission-only portion of the match ended. From there, he largely coasted to victory and kept a very game Simoes on the defensive. Simoes pressed hard in the home stretch, but never truly put Ryan in danger.

Duarte needed less than five minutes to earn double gold, tapping “Cyborg” for the second time today with an arm-in guillotine choke.

Mesquita stunned Reusing with an early takedown which forced Reusing to turtle. From there, the Brazilian wasted no time in securing the back and sinking in a quick rear-naked choke.

Fornarino capped an incredible weekend with absolute gold to add to her 55kg title. The Australian spend the majority of the match attacking from her guard, and after attacking a choi bar that transitioned to a triangle, she would spend the closing several minutes with Mesquita locked up.

Men’s +99kg final
- Felipe Pena def. Luke Griffith via submission (rear-naked choke)
Pena survived an early takedown and back-take from Griffith to dig deep and escape back to his feet. From there, he scored a takedown of his own and quickly moved to Griffith’s back where he sunk in the match-ending rear-naked choke. He is now a multiple-time ADCC gold medalist.

Duarte punched his ticket to the final with a beautiful rolling guillotine. He now puts himself in position to win his third consecutive ADCC world title.
