(This article is part of our week of ADCC coverage. To get live results, play by play, and commentary, we’ll have a live updates article running all weekend)
Catherine Perret is a late add to ADCC this weekend. The Checkmat athlete and 2018 IBJJF champion posted an announcement to her Instagram yesterday, which was confirmed by ADCC head Mo Jassim. Perret will be filling in for Franciele Nascimento.
Catherine Perret is a worthy add to the ADCC field, having recently defeated fellow ADCC competitor Ffion Daives in July and Amanda “Tubby” Alequin in August. Perret currently holds the F2W no-gi bantamweight belt.
Nascimento, who had to drop out of the under 60 kg class due to injury, won the South American ADCC Trials held in São Paolo back in March.
Per ADCC, here is the updated competitor list for this bracket:
- Beatriz Mesquita – Brazil – (Gracie Humaita) – ADCC Worlds 2017 winner
