AIGA Champions League results: Team Kasai wins big

View results and highlights from AIGA Champions League: The Final Stage, which took place on June 28-29, 2025, in Kazakhstan.

The final team-versus-team battles of the third season of AIGA Champions League took place over the weekend in Kazakhstan, and the event drew a number of the planet’s top grapplers.

Led by standout performances from Fabricio Andrey, Roberto Jimenez, and Diego “Pato” Oliveira, it was Team Kasai that took home the championship and the $500,000 grand prize.

Given the number of decorated world champions participating in the competition, it’s no surprise that fans were treated to plenty of high-level matchups. Williams Elite Team representative Jason Nolf – a decorated amateur wrestler who is now beginning to make waves in the world of submission grappling – impressed with a points win over Team Eurotrash’s Jed Hue, but would subsequently lose by DQ after an illegal slam against “Pato” in the team final.

Team Kasai’s Roberto Jimenez went 2-1 on the weekend, scoring impressive victories over Gabriel Almeida and, in the team final, two-time ADCC champion Giancarlo Bodoni.

And while Team Team Kasai was loaded with top talent like Junny Ocasio, Kaynan Duarte, and Pedro Marinho, Fabricio “Hokage” Andrey arguably stole the show. After scoring a highlight-reel Suloev stretch submission in the team semifinals, he then picked up one of the biggest victories of his career, defeating ADCC medalist and no-gi world champion Dante Leon by points.
