Ashley Williams is Ready for a Breakout Year, if the UK Grappling Scene Can Give Him Matches.

While he may be a household name in gyms across the UK, Ashley Williams still isn’t on the tongues of the larger BJJ community as a go-to fighter at 145. But with another quick submission win at Polaris 12, Williams is poised for a great 2020. With strong showings at Polaris, Kasai, EBI, and the IBJJF European circuit, ADCC seems like the last frontier for the Welsh grappler.

Grappling Insider’s Alex Lindsey caught up with Ashley Williams to talk about his main obstacle to getting to ADCC, the lack of fights in the UK. Ashley also talked about his training habits, the weight class he wants to stay in, and possible matchups for the future.

Also, for our BJJ practitioners, Keenan’s Lapel Guard deal has been extended past Black Friday.
