Breaking: Craig Jones Injured, Out of Road to ADCC Match Against Lucas Barbosa

One of the summer’s more anticipated match-ups will have to wait a little longer. On Friday, it was announced that Craig Jones is injured and forced to withdraw from his match against Lucas “Hulk” Barbosa that was scheduled for July 17 at The Road to ADCC. FloGrappling shared the x-ray image of Jones’ broken hand.

The match-up between Jones and Barbosa was yet another in the rivalry between the Danaher Death Squad and Atos.

An ADCC silver medalist, Craig Jones had looked stellar in competition so far this year with a trio of wins over Ronaldo Junior, Luiz Panza, and, most recently, Tye Ruotolo. Lucas Barbosa has seen mixed results this year, but has competed at much higher rate. “Hulk” holds recent wins over Yuri Simoes, Matheus Diniz, and Jones’ DDS teammate, Oliver Taza.

How to watch: The Road to ADCC takes place on Saturday, July 17 and will air live on FloGrappling.
