Breaking: Polaris 12 Fight Announcement!

Polaris 12 makes it’s way to Newport, South Wales for the first time ever on November 30th. The headline fight was recently announced as two fantastic grapplers are scheduled to meet in a Bantamweight title fight. Reigning Lightweight Champion Ashley Williams attempts to become the second man to earn two Polaris titles as he faces off against the legendary Joao Miyao. Williams has been vocal about his desire to face off against one of the Miyao twins and it seems like Polaris matchmakers have taken notice.

Polaris 12 Main Event

The second match for this event can now be revealed as two elite grapplers have been added to the card. Tommy Langaker makes the journey all the way from Norway to face off against top 15 UFC Welterweight, Gilbert Burns. Burns is an excellent grappler with an ADCC bronze medal and two No-Gi world championships to go with his 17-3 MMA record. This makes him one of the more experienced MMA fighters to compete on Polaris as he has always been a BJJ black belt first and foremost.

Langaker is no easy match however, with youth on his side and regular BJJ competition he’s sure to give Burns a tough match. After his first year competing at black belt last year, Langaker has won both the Copa Podio and the UAEJJF Abu Dhabi Pro this year. A full-time athlete since 2015, Langaker is just coming into his prime and will be eager to get his biggest win to date at Polaris 12.
