Craig Jones v Vinny Magalhaes Announced For Submission Underground 13 on April 26th

Chael Sonnen appears to be the only major grappling promoter who has decided to plow through the Coronavirus epidemic by scheduling Submission Underground 13 for April 26th as he has just announced the main event, Craig Jones v Vinny Magalhaes. It’s worth noting that most other major promoters, like Fight 2 Win, have cancelled many future events due to the pandemic.

Nonetheless, Submission Underground 13 appears to be ready to go! Chael Sonnen has revealed several matches for the card and not just the main event. This card will also see a bit of a mismatch when Richie “Boogieman” Martinez takes on Bellator MMA fighter Austin Vanderford, and two very experienced MMA fighters will battle it out when Gabriel Checco meets Jake Ellenberger.

Given how badly fans reacted to Submission Underground 11’s tag-team match involving both Craig Jones and Vinny Magalhaes, it should go a long way towards appeasing them when they get to see the pair face off under a more traditional BJJ ruleset.

The news was broken on the official Submission Underground Instagram in the below post:
