Craig Jones vs. Matheus Lutes set for Polaris 10

Craig Jones is set to return to Polaris, but this time he is defending his middleweight crown.

Jones has made a name for himself as a fan favorite in the UK over the last couple of years with regular appearances on Figure 4 Promotions, but his performances on Polaris have really took him to the next level. On May 25th, Jones will have the opportunity to face off with one of the hottest prospects in BJJ.

Matheus Lutes is one of the best talents emerging from the Marcelo Garcia right now and at just 24, it seems like he is poised to keep on improving. Lutes is a multiple time world champion and has an imposing positional game that continues to be successful in both gi and nogi competition.

Craig Jones is one of the most feared competitors on the nogi scene and holds an unbeaten record at Polaris. Having defeated Jake Shields to become the middleweight champion, Jones moved up the light heavyweight and defeated Keenan Cornelius for the vacant title at Polaris 8.

With ADCC 2019 fast approaching, all eyes are on Jones as many have backed him as the favourite to win the 88KG division. Lutes acts as a great test for Jones and this match has all the potential to be a classic.

Polaris 10 goes down at The Lighthouse in Poole, Dorset on May 25th and is headlined by a match between Urijah Faber and Nicky Ryan.
