EBI 25 results: Landon Elmore submits his way to lightweight crown
Below are results and highlights from EBI 25: The Lightweights, which saw Landon Elmore tap all four of his opponents.
Kingsway product Landon Elmore enjoyed a breakout performance at EBI 25: The Lightweights, submitting four top-tier opponents on his way to claiming the EBI lightweight crown. The event took place on Friday, September 12, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas.
Still just 18 years old, Elmore displayed a dangerous and aggressive leg locking game throughout the night.
In the first round, Elmore submitted Simple Man Martial Arts representative Roman Corona with a heel hook. Next, in the quarterfinals, Elmore squared off with current UFC standout Bryce Mitchell. After jumping onto a flying triangle early in the match and taking Mitchell’s back with a flurry of aggression, the teen once again was able to create a leg entanglement and score the heel hook finish.
In the semifinals, Elmore kept the heel hook train rolling, submitting his Kingsway teammate Reese Lafever.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the bracket, accomplished veteran Keith Krikorian scored submission victories over Jonathan Wilson, Raphael Ferreira, and fellow veteran Gianni Grippo to make his way to the tournament final.
Yet again, Elmore was able to pull his opponent into a leg entanglement. And although Krikorian is widely recognized among the sport’s top leg lockers, it was Elmore who came out on top with a brutal leg-lock finish.
After submitting all four of his opponents inside regulation, Elmore has officially announced himself as an elite talent who has undoubtedly earned himself more opportunities against world-class opposition in the future.
