Grapplefest 8 Announces Ashley Williams v Kade Ruotolo

Grapplefest 8 has just had a huge match announced ready for the event on 29th February 2020. Ashley Williams looks to secure his third title in a little under a year after winning both the Lightweight and Bantamweight Polaris titles. The person looking to stop Williams in his tracks is Kade Ruotolo, one of the biggest prospects in BJJ right now alongside his twin brother Tye, who made a memorable impact at ADCC last year.

This seems to be exactly what Williams has asked for, as he’s been vocal about the lack of matches the UK grappling scene has been able to provide. Despite Ruotolo only just having received his purple belt, he will still be a very game opponent for Williams and is pretty widely regarded as the one of the sport’s best young grapplers.

Shortly before Williams and Ruotolo meet to determine who walks away with the -70kg title at Grapplefest 8, the event also features a number of high-level grapplers based both in and outside of the UK.
