Estevan Martinez vs. Lucas Pinheiro Set for Fight To Win 195 Main Event

Fight To Win 195 takes place on Saturday, February 26, live from Albuquerque, NM. The main event will feature a no-gi match between world-class competitors Estevan Martinez and Lucas Pinheiro. The promotion announced the match-up on social media.

Estevan Martinez is one of the most entertaining competitors in all of jiu-jitsu. A natural roosterweight that happily competes in the absolute division regularly, Martinez has earned the nickname “Giant Slayer.” He saw his best year of competition in 2021, winning no-gi Pans and Worlds in his weight class. Most recently, Martinez lost a decision in a 15-minute submission-only title match against Mikey Musumeci at Who’s Number One.

A 2020 Pans gi and no-gi champion, Lucas Pinheiro is one of the top competitors out of Atos. Pinheiro also faced Musumeci at Who’s Number One, losing by way of quick submission. In Pinheiro’s most recent Fight To Win appearance, he defeated Bebeto Oliveira by submission in a gi match.

This is an intriguing and interesting match-up. Martinez is a constant ball of energy that will look to cartwheel and back-flip over the guard in an effort to find the back. Pinheiro, on the other hand, uses a much more measured approach, as he specializes in tight, relentless pressure passing.
