Evolve Ur Game Announces 8-Man Grappling Tournament with $10,000 Cash Prize

There appears to be a new player in the competitive jiu-jitsu scene. Evolve Ur Game (EUG) promotions has announced an eight-man grappling tournament scheduled for April 3 with a $10,000 winner-take-all cash prize. At the time of this writing, the promotion had also announced the first two entrants to the tournament.

Hector Vasquez, a black belt under Rubens “Cobrinha” Charles, is the CEO of EUG promotions.

If the first two competitors announced are any indication, the tournament field could be stacked with young, elite, grappling talents. First, the promotion announced Jonatha Alves, an Art of Jiu Jitsu black belt under Guilherme Mendes. Alves was an IBJJF world champion as a brown belt, and in his short black belt career, he is already a Pans champion.

The second competitor announced was Andy Muraski. Muraski’s black belt from Team Atos leader Andre Galvao is just two months old, but he realized ample success in the colored belts. He was a weight and absolute Pans champion at brown belt, as well as a brown belt European champion.

Stay tuned on Grappling Insider as EUG promotions announces the rest of the tournament field.
