Odds-makers have lined the main event between Martinez and Pinheiro as even, with both competitors sitting at -130. Indeed, it is a difficult match-up to predict, as Martinez’s all-action, high-flying style will go head-to-head with Pinheiro’s methodical but relentless pressure passing and back takes.

A natural roosterweight, Martinez may be giving up some size to Pinheiro, who typically competes at flyweight. Still, a small size disadvantage is nothing new to Martinez, who has rightfully earned the nickname “Giant Slayer” for his willingness to compete in the absolute divisions.

In his most recent Fight To Win appearance, Pinheiro impressed with a submission win over Bebeto Oliveira in the gi. This will be Martinez’s black belt Fight To Win debut.
