F2W 195 results and highlights: Lucas Pinheiro controls Estevan Martinez to win decision

Fight To Win 195 took place on Saturday, February 26, live from Albuquerque, NM. In the main event, top Atos representative Lucas Pinheiro put on a dominant display of guard passing and control to earn a unanimous decision win over Albuquerque native Estevan Martinez.

Miraculously, Martinez began the day by competing in and winning the adult black belt division of the IBJJF Miami Open.

Known for his pressure passing, Pinheiro was able to — time and time again — put Martinez on his back and pass his guard before moving to the back. But for as much as Pinheiro is known for his wrestling, Martinez is known for his escapes. Each time Pinheiro took Martinez’s back, Martinez was able to escape and scramble to his feet, with the entire process repeating again.

Although neither man was ever close on a submission attempt, it was Pinheiro’s constant positional advancement and control that earned him the unanimous decision.
