F2W 196 results and highlights: John Combs taps Bill ‘The Grill’ Cooper

Fight To Win 196 took place on Friday, March 4, live from Denver, CO. In the main event, John Combs made quick work of longtime black belt Bill “The Grill” Cooper, securing the tap with his signature guillotine choke (AKA the “Combatine”) in just about one minute flat.

After some circling on the feet, Combs was able to wrap up an arm-in guillotine in the first real grappling exchange of the match. Cooper defended initially, but was swept to his back where Combs quickly finished.

Cooper is one of the most experienced American grapplers in the sport, and while he may no longer be at the top of his game, he is a serious feather in the cap of Combs. Combs came into this match after a strong performance at the Sapateiro Invitational, and will look to parlay this success into the ADCC West Coast Trials in early April.
