Ffion Davies vs. Gezary Matuda title fight targeted for Polaris 9

Fresh off European and World Championship victories, Ffion Davies is set for another blockbuster match as GrapplingInsider.com has learned she is scheduled to fight for the belt at Polaris 9.

Davies, who won the black belt worlds at her attempt, is anticipated to face the ever-dangerous Gezary Matuda for the -55kg strap on March, 15th in London, England.

Matuda a world champion in her own right and is unbeaten in 3 appearances at Polaris. Matuda’s crowning moment at Polaris thus far was against ADCC champion Michelle Nicolini, who she defeated via armbar in a matter of seconds.

According to sources close to the event, Davies and Matuda will be joined by Vagner Rocha, who is expected to face off against an unnamed British grappler.

Polaris 9 goes down on March 15th live at The Indigo at the O2 in London, England.
