Fight 2 Win 137 Full Results And Review

Fight 2 Win 137 saw one of the longest running promotions in the USA deliver yet another stacked card that featured elite grappling and action from start to finish. We sat down to make predictions for the top two matches lined up for Fight 2 Win 137 and were spot on in our assessment of how the headliners shaped up. Lucas “Hulk” Barbosa was able to become the first person to defeat Roberto Jimenez since the youngster was awarded his black belt as he got the Armbar finish after a frantic back and forth match.

Jimenez gave a very good account of himself however and this should come as no surprise after he recently beat Keenan Cornelius at Flograppling’s Who’s #1? event. The main event produced fireworks but the real treat was spread across the whole card as Fight 2 Win 137 resulted in the highest percentage of submission finishes in the promotion’s history. Over three-quarters of the fights throughout the card ended in submission, a stunning 76% finish rate which is unheard of in professional grappling.

In the Co-Main Event, Michael Liera Jr took a decision victory over Marcio Andre to take their personal rivalry to 2-1 in his favor. This also took Liera Jr’s Fight 2 Win competitive record to a stellar 6-0 not long after his fifth fight at Fight 2 Win 136 and he’s now beaten some of the best grapplers that the promotion has to offer on his way to becoming Fight 2 Win Welterweight Champion.
