Former Trainer of Jon Jones Says He’s Owed $13,000, Jones Threatens to Involve Police

There appears to be more drama surrounding Jon Jones and the police. This time though, Jones is asking them for help.

Frank Lester, a former coach of Jones, made a post on Instagram alleging that the MMA fighter and UFC Champion owes him over $13,000.

In the post, Lester stated “Jon Jones & Mike Winkeljohn just did me dirtier than I have ever even seen in this fight game.” He went on to warn Jones to “keep that security close”.

Lester also announced his split with Jackson’s MMA and the launch of his own training facility. See the post below:

Jones responded on Instagram with his own allegations in a post that has since been deleted. He said “I won’t even get into the fact that you were fired from the team on fight week due to drug issues.” He went on to say “tomorrow I will be calling APD” – an intent to involve the Albuquerque Police Department.

We’re not really sure what the actual story is here and probably never will. It seems however, that Jon Jones cannot escape controversy involving the police. Back in July he was charged with battery in a strip club incident.

Jones’ next opponent has not been officially announced. Jones has stated he wants a fight before the end of the year, but it’s not clear if that will happen.
