Grapplefest 9 Full Results And Review

Grapplefest 9 was the first professional grappling event to be held on UK soil since the Coronavirus outbreak caused the cancellation of every event and it quickly became apparent that the athletes taking part were eager to get back to action, full results can be found at the end of the article. At first glance it might seem as though the card lacked excitement as almost all of the fights lasted the regulation time and went to a decision, but in actual fact it was the complete opposite.

From start to finish, the card was packed with action and the top three fights on the card especially were fast-paced and exciting. The women who headlined the event, Ffion Davies and Tayane Porfirio, put on an especially great display of back-and-forth action and although Porfirio came out the winner, Davies didn’t lose much by taking on an opponent with a huge weight advantage. Elsewhere, Ashley Williams continued to prove that there simply isn’t anyone who can come close to him in the UK grappling scene and that he deserves more matches with elite grapplers from around the world.
