Full card revealed for UFC BJJ 2: Tackett vs. Canuto
View the full lineup of matches set to go down at UFC BJJ 2: Tackett vs. Canuto on July 31, 2025.
The second installment of UFC BJJ will take place on July 31 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the card will feature a pair of world title matches.
In the main event of UFC BJJ 2, reigning UFC BJJ welterweight champion Andrew Tackett will make a quick turnaround after claiming the inaugural title in June, as he’s set to take on decorated veteran Renato Canuto. Both athletes are widely regarded among the sport’s most entertaining competitors, and the match promises action for as long as it lasts.
Before that, in the co-main event, Caio Terra black belt Mason Fowler will square off with veteran no-gi specialist David Garmo for the inaugural UFC BJJ light heavyweight crown.
Fowler is no stranger to competing in UFC-related events. After a dominant run as the Submission Underground champion in 2020 and 2021, he racked up six victories on the UFC Fight Pass Invitational stage, losing only to heavyweight standout Nick Rodriguez. He is also a two-time ADCC champion and boasts notable wins over the likes of Pedro Marinho, Haisam Rida, and Luke Griffith.
For his part, Garmo will come into the matchup as an underdog, but given his wealth of high-level experience, he shouldn’t be counted out. A black belt since 2017 who’s renowned for his dangerous guillotine choke, he’ll come into this contest after winning gold at the 2025 no-gi Brasileiros.
Lower on the card, ADCC and CJI veteran William Tackett will lock horns with 10th Planet leg lock specialist Kyle Chambers in an intriguing clash of styles. While Tackett is consistently ranked among grappling’s top athletes, Chambers owns a 2018 submission victory over the Texas native.
The card will also see a trio of women’s matches, as Mo Black takes on multiple-time IBJJF no-gi world champion Raquel Canuto, ADCC veteran Aurelie Le Vern battles Maggie Grindatti-Lira, and accomplished American veteran Tammi Musumeci makes her UFC BJJ debut against rookie black belt standout Leilani Bernales.
