Full Class Video: Andre Galvao Teaches Armbar Transitions

We are truly in the golden age of jiu-jitsu knowledge. Between YouTube, Instagram, podcasts and more, no technique is a secret and it’s easy to learn from the best grapplers in the world. Jiu-jitsu legend Andre Galvao is continuing that tradition.

In a recent video from the Team Atos headquarters, Galvao posted a full 20 minutes of instruction covering his favorite armbar transitions and attacks.

Just like any regular class, Galvao starts with some basic transitions and drilling. In the middle portion of the video, Galvao shares the details of finishing the armbar and switching from arm to arm when his opponent defends. Toward the end of the video, Galvao covers a more advanced transition from attacking the armbar to the back.

Finally, just as you’d expect in a typical class, Galvao fields questions.

Watch and learn from one of the most accomplished grapplers in the sport’s history.
