Garry Tonon Joins Gordon Ryan In Donating Substars Ticket Money
It has just been announced that Garry Tonon will be joining Gordon Ryan in donating all of his ticket money from his upcoming appearance on Substars against Dustin Poirier, to the We Defy Foundation. The announcement was made by the We Defy Foundation’s Vice President and Director of National Ambassador Network and Training Facilities, TJ Kreutzer. He revealed in an instagram post that Garry Tonon has pledged to donate the money earned from his ticket sales and PPV for the event on 21st February to the We Defy Foundation, only days after Gordon Ryan made his announcement.
“Please repost! @garrytonon is in on it too! Garry Tonon and Gordon Ryan will both be donating their PPV and ticket sales to @wedefyfoundation for the @sub.stars event on February 21st! Thank you @garrytonon and @gordonlovesjiujitsu for the life changing support! Use the codes TEAMTONON and KINGRYAN at checkout when you purchase the event and help support @wedefyfoundation! We Defy sponsors disabled combat veterans in Jiu jitsu and fitness training as a form of therapy.”
Garry Tonon is set to face Dustin Poirier in what will be the main event at Substars, despite the fact that Poirier was last seen on the receiving end of a resounding defeat at the hands of Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 242. Tonon on the other hand, remains undefeated in his MMA career with a 5-0 record with all of his fights taking place in ONE FC and having ended in a finish. This is what has led Tonon to recently stake his claim to a ONE FC title shot against reigning Featherweight Champion, Martin Nguyen.
