Gordon Ryan Donates Substars Ticket Money To Charity

Gordon Ryan has announced that he will be donating every penny he would make from ticket sales for his appearance on Substars on 21st February to charity. I guess it turns out that Ryan isn’t anywhere near as bad as a lot of people make him out to be, the king clearly does have a heart after all.

Substars has set up a fantastic card featuring not just Gordon Ryan but also Garry Tonon, Keenan Cornelius and even UFC Lightweight title-challenger Dustin Poirier. So far, Ryan is the only one to announce his charitable intentions however, as he recently revealed that the money will be going to The We Defy Foundation.

The We Defy Foundation was set up to assist combat veterans coping with either mental or physical disabilities as a result of service. The charity achieves this through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and fitness training, also arranging seminars with high-level black belts in order to raise money for the cause. The charity has previously worked with notable names like Heather Raftery and Nic Gregoriades. They also raise funds through their online shop, which sells Gis, patches, rashguards, spats and various items of outdoor clothing.

Im also happy to announce that I will be donating 100% of my ticket sales from @sub.stars to @wedefyfoundation. A foundation geared towards helping disabled vets and law enforcement get back on their feet. Thanks for always keeping us safe
