Gordon Ryan to face Rodolfo Vieira at 3CG3

Another day, another superfight announcement for Gordon Ryan.

Fresh off the announcements of the SUG match with Gabriel Gonzaga and the World Jiu Jitsu Festival match with Rousimar Palhares, another “King” Ryan superfight was confirmed today.

This time it’s Third Coast Grappling 3 in Houston, TX on December 7th. In the main event, Gordon Ryan is set to square off with Rodolfo Vieira.

The promotion run by Ryan McGuire recently promised a big announcement, and this seems to fit the bill.

Previously, an announced match between Ryan and Felipe Pena had to be postponed because of contract disputes. This appears to be a nice way to rebound for 3CG.

Ryan is seemingly everywhere in the grappling world these days. We recently saw him commentating at the BJJ Fanatics Brown Belt Invitational, where the controversial figure gained general acclaim for his ability to illustrate technical details in the matches.

Rodolfo Vieira recently had his first UFC win, where he won his fight via arm triangle choke over Oskar Piechota. “The Black Belt Hunter” came up through GFT and was extremely successful on the grappling circuit, winning 4 IBJJF world championships and the 2015 ADCC title. In 2015, he decided to switch his focus to MMA and joined ATT.

Also featured at 3CG3 will be a match between Jake Shields and Romulo Barral.
