Highlight Video: 5 Minutes of Craig Jones Leg Locking Elite Competitors

Craig Jones is an excellent all-around grappler. From back takes to triangle chokes to even guard passing, he can do it all at an incredibly high level. That said, he’s known for one thing above all else — his devastating leg lock game. In a new highlight video from FloGrappling, watch five full minutes of Jones’ best leg locks on the biggest stages in jiu-jitsu.

Craig Jones was already one of Australia’s top no-gi competitors in 2014 when he won the ADCC Asia and Oceana Trials. He burst onto the North American submission-only scene in 2017 when he leg locked his way to the finals of the Eddie Bravo Invitational and soon became a fixture of any and all top no-gi jiu-jitsu submission-only competitions. In 2019, Jones earned an ADCC silver medal with wins over Ben Dyson, Mason Fowler, and Jon Blank.

Jones’ penchant for leg locks made him a perfect fit with Gordon Ryan, Garry Tonon, and John Danaher with the Danaher Death Squad, which he joined in 2018. He has submitted a who’s who of competitors with leg locks, including Ronaldo Junior (in his last match), Roberto Jimenez, Gilbert Burns, and Richie Martinez.

Jones was scheduled to face Tye Ruotolo in the main event of Who’s Number One on April 30, but was forced to withdraw for health concerns.
