Highlight Video: The Best Leg Locks in Bellator MMA History

Leg locks used to be a rarity in jiu-jitsu and submission grappling, and even more of a rarity in MMA. But with the explosion of leg locks in the advanced jiu-jitsu metagame, fans are starting to see more and more leg locks — specifically heel hooks — in MMA. Check out the video below for ten minutes of the best heel hooks, ankle locks, knee bars and more from Bellator MMA.

Grappling fans may recognize Polaris and Quintet veteran Marcin Held securing a vicious knee bar victory, as well as Marcelo Garcia black belt Dillon Danis earning a toe hold win in his professional MMA victory. Also of note is Aviv Gozali’s lightning-fast, record-setting heel hook victory. Gozali is currently 6-0 as a professional with six first-round submission wins.

Bellator MMA returns to action on Friday, June 11 with Bellator 260, headlined by a welterweight title fight between champion Douglas Lima and challenger Yaroslav Amosov.
