Mikey And Tammi Musumeci Leave CTA and Caio Terra

Mikey Musumeci has just announced that both him and his sister Tammi will be officially separating from Brasa CTA and the main man himself, Caio Terra. The news has come as a shock to most of the BJJ community as Brasa CTA has been the Musumeci family’s home for quite some time and Caio Terra was even recently willing to put up $10,000 of his own money to challenge anyone to beat Mikey.

Both siblings became World Champions while representing the Caio Terra Association with Tammi earning her first world title at the age of 19 while Mikey followed suit three years later at the age of 21, both of them earning gold in No Gi. This was just the start of dominance as Mikey and Tammi have now both become four-time World Champions, Mikey having won it in the Gi for the last three years in a row. Most recently, he showed how little size actually matters in BJJ by entering the Absolute Division of the IBJJF European Open and beating the heaviest competitor in attendance on route to narrowly missing out on a medal.

No problems, no drama. Tammi and I decided to leave CTA. We are beyond grateful and thankful to Caio and nick for everything they have done for us.
