New Video Shows Conor McGregor Threatening Dustin Poirier: ‘In your sleep, you’re getting it’

In the main event of UFC 264, Dustin Poirier won his rubber match with Conor McGregor after McGregor suffered a broken leg late in the first round. Immediately following the fight, tempers flared as McGregor — seated against the cage as his leg was tended to — continued to berate Poirier with trash talk. An alternate angle video released on Twitter appears to show McGregor threatening to murder Poirier and, perhaps, his wife.

Given the crowd noise, it’s difficult to make out exactly what McGregor said. What’s most easily understandable is McGregor yelling “in your sleep, you’re getting it… It ain’t over.”

The Twitter user that posted the video states that McGregor also said “you and your missus, you’re both getting it.” If he did in fact say that, it’s much less clear.

The build-up to the much-anticipated trilogy fight between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier took a darker turn in the days before the event, as McGregor threatened to kill Poirier and implied that Poirier’s wife, Jolie Porier, had tried to reach McGregor via direct message on Instagram.

McGregor and Poirier first fought in 2014; McGregor won that bout by first-round knockout. They rematched in January 2021, with Poirier winning by second-round TKO.
