Nick Diaz Announces Return to MMA

Nick Diaz (26-9, 2 NC) is the man that needs no introduction. He and his younger brother, Nate, have been consistent fan-favorites for what feels like forever now. Spurred into combat sports by the loss of his girlfriend, Nick has had a career full of highlights and always forces action-packed fights. Both brothers love nothing more than to stand and outbox opponents but are well known as Cesar Gracie black belts with some of the best submission games in the sport.

Nick mentioned pretty casually in the above video that he has “big news coming up, I’m about to be fighting again soon.” Although it is worth mentioning that this wouldn’t be the first time that either Nate or Nick Diaz have teased a return to MMA without ending up doing it.

Nick was last seen in a No Contest against Anderson Silva after both fighters failed drug test relating to the fight back in 2015. Somewhat unsurprisingly, Nick’s failure was related to marijuana and not PEDs. He has already entered the USADA testing pool ready for his comeback fight and most recently called out Jorge Masvidal after he beat Nate to claim the “BMF belt”.

Now, that’s a fight I’m pretty sure everyone can get behind.

This month is packed with grappling action. For tickets to the upcoming Polaris 12 on 30th November in Newport, South Wales, click here.
