No Gi Worlds 2019 Results: Devhonte Johnson v Fellipe Ubaiz Trovo

Fresh off a solid victory at Polaris 12, Devhonte Johnson told us he would be aiming for big things at No Gi Worlds 2019 and he certainly wasn’t lying. He got a solid first scalp at this year’s tournament when he came up against the veteran grappler, Vinny Magalhaes after receiving a bye through the first round. Now he’s also beaten Fellipe Ubaiz Trovo in the quarter-finals of the openweight class as he storms towards a medal position.

Devhonte Johnson has set up a fantastic semi-final matchup against Roberto “Cyborg” Abreu. This is sure to be one of the best matches in this year’s tournament as Cyborg impressed in victories over Jackson Souza Dos Santos and Fernando Camoles Ribas.
