Preview: Polaris 9

Polaris 9 goes down Friday, March 15th and promises to be a fantastic event. The Invitational will showcase legends and high-level grapplers such as Rafael Lovato Junior, Jake Shields, Vagner Rocha, Ffion Davies, and the list goes on.

On the main card, and surely highly anticipated, will be Rafael Lovato Junior v. Jake Shields. Whoever wins may have a shot at Craig Jones’ current Light Heavyweight Championship. This match will put two former MMA fighters against each other; Lovato Junior is undefeated in his MMA career, and both are extremely accomplished grapplers. They will meet at a catchweight 200 lbs.  

Also on the main card, Ffion Davies, the up and coming Welsh phenom, will take on Brazilian champ Gezary Matuda. Will youth win, or will Matuda’s experience prove too much to overcome?  

Vagner Rocha v. Ross Nicholls will pit two exciting grapplers with clashing styles against each other.
