Russell Brand promoted to BJJ Blue Belt
Comedian Russell Brand was awarded his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Blue belt this week under his main instructor at RGA Bucks Kev Capel. Russell is under the Roger Gracie lineage so UK BJJ pioneer Mauricio Gomes and BJJ GOAT Roger Gracie were also in attendance.

Brand has spoken about the benefits BJJ has brought to both his physical and mental-health extensively and over the last few years and is part of the growing wave of celebrity BJJ advocated across the globe. The UK has a much less publicised wave of celebrity BJJ practictitioners with stranger things star Millie Bobby Brown and Guy Ritchie being the most notable.
