Tex Johnson enters rehab; Pulls out of Fight 2 Win 108

Aaron “Tex” Johnson has announced via Instagram that he will enter rehab for a month.

In a succinct caption, Johnson writes: “I’m leaving New York for a month and will be checking into rehab in New Mexico. I will be spending time with my wife and getting my mind better for a return to competition. Thank you everyone for all the amazing support. I will miss everyone very much. I will probably shutdown my Instagram during this time.”

The BJJ community has shown an outpouring of support after the announcement. Since this post, there have been over two hundred comments on his post. He appears optimistic about his return to ADCC post-rehab.

Unfortunately, Johnson’s next bout was scheduled for this Friday, April 12, at Fight 2 Win 108. This match has been cancelled.
