Third Coast Grappling v UK Announces First Matches With Gordon Ryan And Nick Rodriguez

Third Coast Grappling v UK is coming to Liverpool on May 23rd, 2020 and is bringing us some of the best grapplers in both the UK and USA meeting head on thanks to the promotional efforts of both Third Coast Grappling and Figure Four Promotions. The first two matches for the groundbreaking event have just been announced and the headliner will be Danaher Death Squad poster-boy Gordon Ryan taking on 10th planet standout and BJJ Fanatics Grand Prix winner, Kyle Boehm.

The next fight announced for the card is Nick Rodriguez v Lucas “Hulk” Barbosa. Rodriguez has long been a favorite in the UK thanks to numerous appearances on Polaris including a headlining match against Luke Rockhold at Polaris 12. He’s also got another trip to the UK planned only a month before the Third Coast Grappling v UK event as he’s primed to enter the Polaris Absolute Grand Prix on April 4th, 2020.

The event itself will be a part of a series of events that Third Coast Grappling have planned, including the recent announcement of a “Third Coast v West Coast” event that will feature teams of fighters picked by Eddie Bravo and Vinicius “Draculino” Magalhaes being coached by the two legends against one another. All of this is still a few steps in the future however, as we still have Third Coast Grappling 4 coming up on March 14th which will see a rematch between Nick Rodriguez and Pat Downey under hybrid rules and Gordon Ryan taking on Patrick Gaudio in another rematch.
