Tye Ruotolo to clash with MMA veteran Dagi Arslanaliev at ONE Fight Night 13

Tye Ruotolo will meet MMA contender Dagi Arslanaliev in a submission grappling match at ONE Fight Night 13.

Tye Ruotolo is set to return to action this Friday at ONE Fight Night 13 when he takes on respected MMA veteran Dagi Arslanaliev in a 180-pound submission grappling match. The promotion announced the matchup on Tuesday.

A 2022 IBJJF world champion and ADCC absolute bronze medalist, this will be Ruotolo’s first appearance since he earned a decision win over ONE middleweight MMA world champion Reinier de Ridder in May at ONE Fight Night 10. The 20-year-old Atos representative is undefeated with two submissions in three ONE grappling matches.

Ruotolo was previously rumored to have a match lined up against former foe Nicholas Meregali, but with that showdown not yet signed or announced, he’ll look to stay busy against Arslanaliev.

Arslanaliev, meanwhile, has been a fixture of ONE’s lightweight MMA division for over seven years and is currently the division’s #2-ranked contender. And while the Turkish star has won the majority of his fights via knockout, he is nonetheless a talented grappler with a fair amount of experience competing in BJJ tournaments around Europe.

The match-up between Ruotolo and Arslanaliev won’t be the only submission grappling bout on the card. The evening’s co-main event will see reigning ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion Mikey Musumeci put his belt on the line against ONE strawweight MMA world champion Jarred Brooks.

How to watch: ONE Fight Night 13: Allazov vs. Grigorian takes place on Friday, August 4, and will air live on Prime Video (free with Amazon Plus subscription), beginning at 8:00 PM ET.
