UFC 250 Full Results And Review

UFC 250 marked only the second time that a major pay-per-view event was to take place behind closed doors and after the resounding success of UFC 249, it should come as no surprise that UFC 250 also results in a fantastic night of fights.

The biggest statements came from the smallest weightclasses and it started with Alex Perez. Perez launched himself into title contention at Flyweight by beating Jussier Formiga with devastating leg kicks on the preliminary card, while Aljamain Sterling and Cody Garbrandt both also made stunning returns and put themselves at the forefront of the Bantamweight division by putting Cory Sandhagen to sleep and knocking out Raphael Assuncao respectively. It seems that regardless of Henry Cejudo retiring, both the Flyweight and Bantamweight divisions will be moving on without him quite quickly.

Sean O’Malley also continued his rise to stardom by knocking out Eddie Wineland to extend his MMA record to 12-0 after four flawless UFC fights. Then of course, the main event saw Amanda Nunes retain her UFC Women’s Featherweight World Championship by beating Felicia Spencer from pillar to post and showing that she’s simply several levels ahead of her closest competition right now. Despite being only 32, Nunes has already cemented her place in UFC history by chasing Cyborg out of the UFC and Ronda Rousey out of MMA altogether but by becoming the first two-weight champion to successfully and continually defend both belts simultaneously, she has all but guaranteed her place in the UFC Hall Of Fame after her retirement.
