UFC 259 Highlight: Sean Brady Chokes Jake Matthews to Stay Undefeated

If you don’t know the name Sean Brady yet, now would be a good time to learn it. At UFC 259, Brady dominated Jake Matthews on his way to an impressive third-round arm triangle finish. With the win, Brady improved his record to a sterling 14-0.

Although Matthews is the much more experienced UFC fighter, it was Brady that used a consistent stream of takedowns, positional control, and ground and pound to dominate the fight. With less than two minutes remaining in the bout, Brady latched onto an arm triangle choke for the finish.

Brady is now 4-0 in the UFC and poised to make his mark on the welterweight division in 2021. A jiu-jitsu black belt, he has now secured two consecutive submission wins, and only appears to be getting better.

With the loss, Matthews drops to 17-4 as a professional, and snaps a three-fight winning streak.

UFC 259 took place on March 6, 2021, live from Las Vegas.
