Video: Firas Zahabi Rolls With Legendary Heavyweight Armwrestler Devon Larratt

Best known for his coaching of MMA fighters like Georges St-Pierre and Rory MacDonald, Tristar Gym head coach Firas Zahabi is also a respected BJJ black belt. In a recent video, Zahabi takes on legendary heavyweight armwrestler Devon Larratt in a friendly roll at Tristar. Watch video of that roll below.

What we see above is the expected outcome when a massively strong but untrained grappler faces a true BJJ black belt, regardless of size. Zahabi tries his hand at wrestling with Larratt before choosing instead to pull guard directly into a leg entanglement. Once Zahabi is on the mat, Larratt does his best but is truly a fish out of water, as Zahabi is able to secure a pair of relatively easy heel hooks.

Standing at 6’5″ and packed with muscle, Devon Larratt is widely considered the best professional armwrestler of all time. He is currently the number-one ranked armwrestler in the world.
