Jacob Couch vs. Eoghan O’Flanagan set for Grapplefest championship

A battle between one of Europe’s best leg lockers and one of America’s best leg lockers is slated for Grapplefest 13. On October 1, current Grapplefest 90 kg. champion Eoghan O’Flanagan will take on challenger Jacob “The Hillbilly Hammer” Couch. The match-up was announced on Instagram.

O’Flanagan captured the in May at Grapplefest 12 when he secured a beautiful triangle choke on 10th Planet black belt Jon Blank. Couch competed on that same card, defeating UFC veteran Tom Breese by way of decision.

Despite his triangle win over Blank, O’Flanagan is widely known as a dangerous leg lock specialist. He is a multiple-time Grapplefest veteran and an ADCC European Trials winner.

Couch is one of the top competitors out of Pedigo Submission Fighting (AKA Daisy Fresh) and like O’Flanagan, is known for his dangerous leg lock game. Still just a brown belt, Couch burst onto the scene in 2021 with upset wins over Roberto Jimenez and William Tackett.

How to watch: Grapplefest 13 takes place on October 1, 2022, and will air live on Fite TV pay-per-view.
