ADCC Trials Winner Brianna Ste-Marie Awarded Black Belt

Another world-class no-gi competitor has been added to the ranks of black belt. Over the weekend, recent ADCC East Coast Trials winner Brianna Ste-Marie was awarded her black belt in BJJ.

Ste-Marie was promoted by Brazilian Top Team Canada head coach Fabio Holanda.

Ste-Marie has had a breakout year in 2021, albeit largely in the no-gi scene. She is a combat jiu-jitsu and Medusa champion. Prior to her run through the ADCC East Coast Trials, Ste-Marie submitted Bri Robertson at Who’s Number One. And at the Trials, she showed off her elite-level closed guard, sefeating Alexandria Enriquez in the finals.

Congratulations to Brianna Ste-Marie on this accomplishment; we look forward to seeing her compete as a black belt.
