After Polaris Victory, Michelle Nicolini Wants Revenge on Gezary Matuda

Grappling Insider’s Alex Lindsey caught up with Michelle Nicolini after her rolling toehold submission victory at Polaris 12. Nicolini wasted no time calling for a rematch against Gezary Matuda.

Nicolini suffered a flash submission loss to Matuda in 2015 via flying armbar. It marked an upset loss for the veteran black belt. Nicolini herself has one of the best competitive records of any female BJJ fighter on the planet.

At Polaris 12, Nicolini showcased her skills against Vanessa English, hunting for a toehold on more than one occasion before finally securing it. The win wraps up another strong year for Nicolini, who defeated Angela Lee in MMA this summer.
