Eddie Bravo Invitational 19: Full tournament line-up and preview

On Sunday, March 13, the Eddie Bravo Invitational (EBI) will make its long-awaited return. EBI 19 will feature 16 high-level grapplers competing under traditional EBI rules.

Several names stand out as potential favorites. First, recent ADCC Trials winner and veteran no-gi competitor Oliver Taza will look to use his ever-improving wrestling and dangerous leg lock game to make his way to the finals. Taza currently trains under John Danaher and alongside Gordon Ryan at New Wave Jiu-Jitsu.

Another competitor to keep an eye on is Serra BJJ black belt Nick Ronan. Ronan recently submitted Taza’s teammate and ADCC Trials winner Giancarlo Bodoni at the Emerald City Invitational, but would ultimately lose to Taza in the finals of that event. Ronan will no-doubt be looking to avenge that loss if the two meet.

And on the other side of the bracket, longtime 10th Planet representative Nathan Orchard will look to use his ample EBI experience to carry him deep into the tournament. Orchard is looking at a potential semifinal showdown against ADCC veteran John Combs, who is fresh off an impressive submission win over Bill “The Grill” Cooper at Fight To Win.

How to watch: EBI 19 takes place on Sunday, March 13 and will air live on UFC Fightpass (subscription required).
