Evolve MMA Brings in Danaher Death Squad Instructor Robert Degle

John Danaher Brown Belt and Danaher Death Squad member, Robert Degle, has announced that he will be moving to Singapore to become the head instructor for No-Gi BJJ at Evolve MMA. This might not come as too much of a surprise as both Danaher and several members of DDS have traveled to hold seminars at Evolve MMA in the past. Degle is already an experienced instructor, having recently released a superb instructional based around effective Heel Hook defense.

This is pretty much par for the course for a John Danaher student as the coach is well known as one of the most in-depth thinkers and strategists in BJJ. He’s also produced some of the biggest names in the sport and if given a student at a young age like Nicky Ryan, he’s able to turn them into an elite grappler before they even reach adulthood. Even as he gets older and naturally starts to succumb to a lifetime of grappling injuries, his star-student Gordon Ryan still says that Danaher is well ahead of him in technical proficiency when rolling.

Very happy to announce that I will be brought on to the team at @evolvemma in #singapore???????? to teach no gi jujitsu with a special emphasis placed on the revolutionary systems designed by my coach @danaherjohn . I’ll be moving to Singapore of course and setting myself to the task of teaching and developing students while at the same time continuing my busy competitive career. I don’t plan on slowing down. I’ll be coming back to the #usa???????? in November for the #adcctrials and competing all over #asia as much as I can. On that note: if you know of competitive opportunities in Asia after April DM me about them. In addition if you train at @evolvemma and are interested in learning from me don’t hesitate to DM me with any questions. Looking forward to April and to the next big step in my career.

When Degle does make the transition over to Singapore in April, he’ll be joining a whole host of the best MMA fighters and coaches on the planet. Evolve MMA is already home to the man with the most UFC title defenses in history, Demetrious Johnson, and a living legend of Japanese MMA, Shinya Aoki. Alongside them as instructors is one of Degle’s teammates, Garry Tonon and the man widely regarded as the greatest BJJ competitor in history, Roger Gracie.
