Fight 2 Win Announces Huge Matches Featuring Roberto “Cyborg” Abreu And More

Fight 2 Win is wasting absolutely no time in getting back on the horse after a temporary time away from matchmaking and has already managed to book some big name matches despite being only a handful of days removed from the initial announcement of their upcoming event dates. This was after the recent Coronavirus pandemic necessitated the cancellation of two month’s worth of scheduled events, something was pretty standard across the industry and left the BJJ community missing their fix of competitive grappling for quite some time.

The promotion announced that F2W 139 on May 15th will be headlined by a blockbuster No-Gi match between the living legend, Roberto “Cyborg” Abreu and the man on the verge of establishing dominance over the Heavyweight divisions, Vinicius “Trator” Ferreira. Shortly before this, fans will be treated to a 170 lbs No-Gi match between two frenetic and fast-paced lighter grapplers as Johnny Tama takes on Ethan Crelinsten, fresh off his victory at the first promotion to stage a post-virus comeback, Submission Underground 13.

Then, as the promotion previously indicated was a possibility, they will hold F2W 140 the following day on May 16th with the main event seeing the return of one of the most polarising grapplers on the planet, AZ Agazarm. Agazarm will meet Osvaldo “Queixinho” Moizinho in the Gi at 185 lbs after a Co-Main Event that sees Roberto Jimenez and Gabriel Almeida also face off in the Gi at 185 lbs. Jimenez made huge waves in competitive grappling earlier this year after managing to secure a victory over Keenan Cornelius at FloGrappling’s Who’s #1? event.

Fight 2 Win CEO Seth Daniels made the following statement, originally reported by Jiu-Jitsu Times:

“Basically for these first couple weeks, we’ve been trying to get the best athletes in the world who are ready to compete on short notice. When we get to June, the cards are going to be insane. I’ve had a plan the whole time, I just needed FloGrappling to support me, and they really are.”
